CARTEK Wireless Steering Wheel Controls

This wireless steering wheel control kit from CARTEK is a very cool and clean way to install pushbutton and available paddle controls to a detachable steering wheel. The system has 8 pushbutton switches which are wirelessly linked to 8 relays within the Relay Control Unit. This integrates seamless with many modules, such as the HTG GCU. 
 
These relays are microprocessor controlled and individually configurable to provide a choice of functions including momentary, latching and flashing modes for all types of controls. 
 
The complete system includes a universal fitting steering wheel panel incorporating 8 sealed pushbutton switches and infrared transmitter module, an infrared receiver and a relay control unit. 
 
The fast response time of the Cartek Wireless Control system means that we have been able to produce a version for paddle shift race cars. Two of the eight channels have been reserved for the paddle shift, whilst the other six are completely configurable. The paddles are manufactured out of Carbon Fiber!
