ABOUT HPR
Holmen Performance Resources is a Norwegian performance engineering company founded by Helge Holmen. HPR was built by automotive enthusiasts with a drive to develop solutions that had not been available before—and to continually improve those solutions through real-world use and customer feedback.
HPR specializes in making sophisticated modern transmissions practical for use outside their original vehicles. Its product range supports ZF 8HP automatic transmissions, BMW seven-speed DCT transmissions and a growing selection of other modern drivetrains.
Instead of focusing on only one piece of a transmission swap, HPR develops the complete supporting system. Its catalog includes integrated swap bellhousings, transmission mounts, chassis crossmembers, output flanges, wiring solutions, shifters, cooling components and more.
HPR currently offers solutions for platforms including the Nissan Skyline, Nissan S-Chassis, Toyota Supra, Lexus and Toyota JZ platforms, Honda S2000, Toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ and multiple BMW chassis.

Cool Fact: For advanced products such as the HPR Superior bellhousing system, HPR uses metrology-grade 3D scanning and Geomagic Design X software during in-house development. This allows critical engine and transmission geometry to be captured accurately before the components are manufactured.
THE SUPERIOR BELLHOUSING SYSTEM
HPR’s Superior 8HP system goes far beyond a conventional adapter plate and flywheel kit. It integrates the 8HP front cover into a dedicated bellhousing, creating the shortest and most compact connection possible between the engine and transmission.
The new cast design, available through Seems Legit Garage, also significantly reduces the cost compared with the original billet version—without sacrificing the fitment or engineering that makes the Superior system unique.
Because the original transmission bellhousing is removed, builders are no longer limited by whether a specific 8HP case will clear the transmission tunnel. This allows a much wider range of 8HP variants to be used, including less-popular and often more affordable transmission models.
Currently available for GM LS, Nissan RB and Toyota JZ applications, the Superior system can be up to 40 mm shorter than a traditional adapter-based installation. It also eliminates the need to cut the original bellhousing for starter clearance and allows all applicable engine and oil-pan fasteners to remain in place.
A one-piece billet 4340 steel flexplate with an integrated starter ring gear completes the compact, strong and properly engineered engine-to-transmission connection.
