HPR RB26 Oil Pan Baffle Kit
Keep the oil around the pickup where it belongs with the HPR RB26 Oil Pan Baffle Kit.
 
Developed using full-scale CFD analysis, this baffle system was designed around the extreme acceleration, braking, and cornering forces experienced during track use. The baffle maintains the same overall height as the factory components while incorporating internal edges that help capture and retain oil around the pickup.
 
The Z-shaped upper plate helps prevent oil from moving away from the sump under hard acceleration and redirects it back toward the pickup.
 
Improved Racing Trap Doors
The kit uses Improved Racing trap doors designed specifically for fluid-control applications. Unlike conventional rubber flaps, these doors are maintenance-free and provide significantly less resistance to oil flow.
 
Each door features a 60-degree opening stop, allowing oil to quickly enter the pickup area while restricting it from escaping during high-G operation. During comparison testing, HPR found that replacing circular openings and rubber flaps with these trap doors significantly improved oil-transfer speed during critical low-oil-level conditions.
 
Construction
The complete baffle assembly is manufactured from stainless steel for strength, durability, and long-term resistance to oil and heat. Pre-cut removable sections are incorporated into the design to provide additional clearance for engines equipped with block braces.
