HPR 8HP Thermostat Billet Oil Pan Kit
Upgrade your ZF 8HP transmission cooling system with the HPR Thermostat Oil Pan Kit.
This complete package combines an ultra-low-profile billet aluminum oil pan, an integrated Improved Racing thermostat and a purpose-built HPR transmission cooler adapter. By integrating the thermostat directly into the oil pan assembly, HPR eliminates the need for a separately mounted remote thermostat and simplifies external cooler-line routing.
The cooler connections are relocated to the front of the oil pan, providing easier access when plumbing an external transmission cooler. The result is a compact, clean and properly integrated cooling solution for high-performance street, drag, drift and road-racing applications.
Installation Notes
- Trimming of the transmission flange is required to provide clearance for the integrated thermostat. A cutting template is included with the kit.
- The thermostat housing must also be machined or modified when installing the kit on 8HP45 and 8HP50 transmissions. Follow the applicable HPR modification instructions [HERE] before installation.

Integrated Thermostat System
The kit includes a high-quality Improved Racing thermostat designed to regulate transmission fluid temperature before directing oil through the external cooler.
The thermostat begins opening at a lower temperature than many factory transmission thermostats, helping provide better control of transmission temperatures during demanding use.
