HPR presents the Superior solution for adapting a ZF 8HP transmission to any Nissan RB engine. As the true pioneers behind this bellhousing solution, we are proud to introduce a cast version that delivers the same proven HPR design at a more accessible price point.
 
Designed for Nissan RB20, RB25, RB26, and RB30 engines, the kit allows direct installation of ZF 8HP70, 8HP75, and 8HP76 automatic transmissions. By replacing the original transmission bellhousing rather than using a conventional adapter plate, the HPR Superior Bellhousing creates a shorter, more compact drivetrain package with improved transmission tunnel clearance—without the need to modify the factory bellhousing for starter clearance.
 
Manufactured from high-quality A356 cast aluminum and precision CNC machined, the kit combines proven HPR engineering with a more accessible entry point into premium ZF 8HP conversions. It includes a 4340 chromoly steel flexplate with an integrated starter ring gear, along with all hardware required for installation.

Note: Jaguar applications are currently in production and are expected to be available in mid-September. Both the BMW N63 and the Jaguar 306DT will come with a separate flexplate adapter supplied with the kit.

Requires new converter: The transmission fits, but requires using a Gen 1 flat style torque converter from BMW / Dodge.

Do I need to cut my original ZF 8HP bellhousing? Yes. The original bellhousing must be removed before installing the HPR Superior Bellhousing. Please see linked manual and video aboves.
Is welding required? No. The installation does not require any welding.
Does the kit include everything needed for installation? Yes. Every HPR Superior Bellhousing Kit includes all required hardware, along with any application-specific components such as flexplate adapters or converter pilots where required.
Which ZF 8HP transmissions are compatible? This kit is compatible with a range of BMW, Dodge, and Jaguar ZF 8HP transmissions. Please refer to the Compatibility section above or contact us if you're unsure which transmission you have.
Is the bellhousing supplied ready to install? Yes. The HPR Superior Bellhousing comes with the genuine ZF roller bearing, retaining lock ring, and front input shaft oil seal already installed.
